About [BC]2
The [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference is the scientific meeting of the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, taking place every two years. As Switzerland's leading event in the field of Computational Biology, and one of the largest of its kind in Europe, [BC]² attracts around 500 scientists from academia, industry, and healthcare. Attendees explore cutting-edge advancements in bioinformatics, ranging from evolutionary and environmental dynamics to infectious diseases, cancer research, protein design, single-cell omics, and AI-driven innovations in clinical data science.
The 2025 edition, themed "Bioinformatics meets AI: shaping the future of data-driven biology," will feature inspiring keynote lectures, thematic tracks, and a special session dedicated to the SIB recognition programs, including the SIB Awards and SIB Remarkable Outputs, which honor the best science in computational biology.
In addition, the program will feature a highlight session presenting the best abstracts from across all thematic tracks. The event will also showcase successful collaborations between academia and industry, along with 1 day dedicated to hands-on workshops and tutorials, 2 poster sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.
